Q: How difficult is it to remove if I want to?
A: It is very easy to undo. The technology does not change your vehicle's engine or computer, so if you ever decide that you don't want this system, you can unhook it in less than a few minutes and your engine is just as it was originally - but cleaner.
Q: Can you give an idea of what it will cost?
A: Your total cost will be the price of the information, plus the cost of the required components. The complete system with all the required parts will cost between $60 and $100.These components can be purchased locally from grocery stores and hardware stores. If you feel you will need a mechanic to install it then that will be an additional cost, usually they will charge their standard hourly labor rate. It usually takes less than one hour.
Q: Can I do the installation myself?
A: If you can open the hood of your car or truck and can locate the oil dip stick, then you should be able to install any one of these systems following the detailed instructions. Also, no special tools are required. For those with no mechanical skills whatsoever, you can go to your local service station or wherever you get your car serviced and have it installed by a mechanic. Installation will usually take less than 1 hour.
Q: Will my engine still run if I run out of gasoline?
A: If your car runs out of gasoline (or diesel fuel) your engine will stop as it naturally would. Remember, these systems generate a gas referred to as HHO or Hydroxy gas which is used as a supplement to gasoline (or diesel fuel). The Hydroxy gas is used as a boost or "catalyst" for better combustion of gasoline. The Hydroxy gas alone will not power the engine by itself.
Q: Is it safe?
A: Yes definitely, there are no safety hazards to you or to your car. The HHO gas is very safe and can be ignited only by the strong spark inside of the engine. There are no storage tanks necessary since the HHO gas is generated "On-Demand" and only when the engine is running.
Q: What kind of performance can I expect?
A: These systems improve the efficiency of your engine to burn gas. You will notice immediately upon proper installation that your engine will run more smoothly, with less noise, and with less vibration. There will be less carbon build-up and significantly less exhaust emissions. However, the primary benefit is that you will get an increase in MPG.
Q: What increase in MPG should I expect?
A: The mileage performance can vary anywhere from a low of 10% to highs of 100% or greater. Why such a big variance? Every vehicle is different, and none of the products ever promise exact numbers because of so many variables. There are many factors involved - how much increase in gas mileage depends on the condition and age of the vehicle and its engine to start with. Key factors are also where is the vehicle driven, what terrain, driving habits, etc. In addition, these systems have different levels and options for installation and how well they are "tuned" and/or "adjusted" will determine the ultimate MPG achieved.
Q: What is the environmental impact of these systems?
A: These systems help the environment by reducing carbon emissions. They produce H20 steam (water vapor) and unburnt O2 (Oxygen). Therefore, they clean the environment, rather than emitting nauseous gases into it.
Q: Is there any chance it will damage my engine?
A: No! This technology is absolutely safe for either gasoline or diesel engines. It improves the overall engine performance; you will see and feel a smoother performance with the reduction of noise, vibration, carbon buildup and emissions. Also, there are no modifications to the engine, the computer, or the fuel injection systems.
Q: Will installation of any of these systems affect my car/engine warranty?
A: No! Installation of any of these systems will not void or negatively impact your car warranty. There are no modifications to the engine, engine computer, or the fuel injection system.
Q: How much maintenance should I expect?
A: Very little ongoing service is required - no more than maybe 5 minutes a week. It is recommended that you inspect it weekly to check on the water level. More than that is rarely needed.
